Sovereign House – Kadans Science Partner

To work with the professional team to design and develop lab enabled CAT A space on the ground floor, with associated open plan CAT A office space on the first floor, ready for prospective tenants.

As a conversion from an existing office building, the project involved significant adaption & supplementing of building services to accommodate the proposed use.

We successfully tendered for the project for Kadans Science Partner, working alongside Bidwells & Delta Green to design and deliver this CAT A project.

Works included the complete strip out of the ground floor, to fit out speculative CL2 laboratory space across the east and west wings. Mechanical, electrical & public health services included the installation of new air handling equipment, air conditioning, safe storage for laboratory gases, a CAT5 booster & connection to vulcathene drainage. A planning application was submitted for the potential installation of fume cupboards and their associated air handling plant.

The first floor comprised installation of open plan CAT A office space, kitchen area and bathrooms. Proprietary laboratory benching & ranges of office furniture were selected & installed as appropriate.
